Brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was taken in two achondroplasia patients who didn’t undergo ventriculoperitoneal shunt. Each was performed at 24 months (patient 3, A, B) and 35 months (patient 4, C, D) of age. Both patients showed mild to moderate dilatation of lateral and third ventricles with excessive cerebrospinal fluid volume in the cortical subarachnoid space on T2-axial (A, C) and T2-coronal (B, D) images.
