Legislation dummy variables, t−5 to t+10 are equal to one in only one year per country with rare disease legislation. t0 refers to the year after legislation implementation. Dummy variables prior t0 (t−5 to t−1) were used to test for parallel trend, and those after t0 (t+1 to t+10) showed the dynamics of legislation effect over time.
