Male patients with a classical phenotype (n = 6) show significant lower retinal vessel tortuosity indices, in comparison to females with a classical phenotype (n = 7), males with an oligosymptomatic phenotype (n = 5) or females with an oligosymptomatic phenotype (n = 8). There were no gender specific differences in the retinal vessel tortuosity indices of the oligosymptomatic cohort.
