Asterisk indicate severely reduced muscles. Minimum seven fish were analysed in each group. B, Branchail arches; D, Dorsal posterior; E, Extraocular; H, Hyoid arch; and M, Manibular arch. Time – number of hours post fertilization at which a muscle become visible.
